The base :
13 – ADVENTURE
Protected by C. Ferland, Aventure won her debut at the end of September, before finishing second in the Prix des Réservoirs. After a good start in a listed race, she remains on a victory in the Prix de Royaumont over the classic distance. It thrives on all intermediate distances and Mr. Guyon chose it. In full rise, she could glean her first Gr.I.
The TQQ Outsider:
1 – CANDALA
H. A. Aga Khan’s filly, Candala opened her prize list in the fall, before being excluded from the competition. She confirmed it, during her return to the track, with a coronation in the Prix de la Grotte, and her entourage extends her with pretensions here, for a possible full revelation.
5 – DANCE SEQUENCE
British competitor Dance Sequence disappointed in the 1000 Guineas at Newmarket, but redeemed herself with success at classical level at Epsom by being extended that day. She made the trip with the highest ambitions, especially as W. Buick accompanied her.
10 – TAMFANA
Tamfana remains in a convincing fourth place in the 1000 Guineas at Newmarket. She returned to France, where she won the Prix Miesque in the fall, before taking third place for her return in the Prix Imprudence. O. Murphy returns to the saddle and those around him expect a top-notch performance. Possible victory.
14 – HALFDAY
Daughter of Lope de Vega, Halfday is the second representative of the Wertheimer brothers. Second in her debut at the end of last season, she then opened her prize list in a good way and has just doubled the stakes in the Prix Cléopâtre. On the rise, she has already stood out with A. Madamet and could make an impression.
11 – REAL GALA
Gala Real missed its first attempt last summer, but then caused a sensation, with three victories, including a listed one last time. Certainly, the opposition is much tougher here, but it enjoys this distance, gets along well with C. Soumillon and its limits are for the moment unknown.
8 – BIRTHE
Birthe has never disappointed since its debut. Winner of a listed race in April in Toulouse, she surprised in the Prix Saint Alary then in Saint Cloud. Those around him take advantage of his state of grace to try the adventure in this Prix de Diane, always in the company of A. Lemaître, who knows her very well. Not to be underestimated.
4 – SPARKLING PLENTY
Coming from the training of P. Cottier, Sparkling Plenty brilliantly made her first three outings in France, before disappointing at listed level with a third place “only” when she was a foregone conclusion. She has just returned to victory, dominating the Prix de Sandringham and could shine again over this longer distance. Sensation not to be excluded.
