No victory at home yet, but a 4th match without defeat: Seraing shares the stake against RSCA Futures (2-2)

And, above all, Nils Schouterden was in the spotlight for his 500th professional match. A milestone reached last weekend on the Francs Borains pitch.

Without Maamar and Angulo (Lapage and Degreef are already further along in their transition to core A), RSCA Futures took the start of the match on their own. Ure and Goto gave the Steelworkers defense a hard time.

Thus, twice (3rd and 17th), the Japanese attacker forced Margueron to relax. Two alerts without consequence. At least until the 25th minute of play. After overtaking Allione, Tajaouart crossed at the far post for Ure, who passed Scarpinatti to open the scoring (0-1).

Robbie Ure opened the scoring for Anderlecht in the 25th minute.

This goal had the gift of waking up Seraing, who finally put his nose to the window. Well helped by a completely missed intervention from Schliek on a cross from the right, Faye, like a good surface fox, even equalized for the Steelworkers in the 35th minute. Already the author of the only goal scored last week at Francs Borains, the young Senegalese winger showed all his sense of goal.

Two goals in two weeks for Saliou Faye.

The Seresians started the second period on a high note. Fall hit Schliek’s crossbar then saw his header finally go off target (48th and 55th).

Well on their feet, Mbaye Leye’s team was going to concede a second goal. A goal almost consistent with the first with a Seresian defense too wait-and-see and a cross at the far post, this time concluded by Tajaouart (1-2).

Still no home victory

Trailing again, Seraing took only three minutes to react. Fall was wrongly caught in the large rectangle by Dom, who received a 2nd warning synonymous with premature return to the locker room. Despite Fall’s insistence on taking justice into his own hands, we preferred to avoid the fiasco of the penalty missed by the Senegalese striker on the Lokeren pitch. It was therefore Cachbach who put Seraing back on the right path (2-2).

With numerical superiority, the Seresians pushed to achieve a home victory that they have been waiting for since March 3, 2024, i.e. 252 days.

And we will still have to wait for the Mbaye Leye players since the score no longer moved.
