El Campo at the Colombeau ganaderia in the Camargue

Last Sunday, members of the El Campo bullfighting club met in the Camargue at the Colombeau ganaderia next to Sambuc for their annual campera fiesta.

Early in the morning the members of the office had prepared a Gascon breakfast based on eggs and ventrèche cooked on the plancha for the greatest pleasure of the members and their taste buds.

After having had a good lunch, the aficionados gathered around the beautiful placita to attend a beautifully crafted tenua (selection by the cows for reproduction).

Maestro Thibault Garcia lidded cows of very good behavior with great brilliance and mastery to the great pleasure of Emma Colombeau, the young mistress of the place and the aficionados.

It was then time to review the tenua with the maestro and the breeder where the members of El Campo were able to ask all their questions before moving on to a well-deserved hearty aperitif.

At the beginning of the afternoon all these beautiful people gathered under the hangar of the ganaderia to enjoy an excellent paella prepared by the hand of a maestro by Nadine member of the office for a well-deserved ovation.

After the meal, head for the trailer and the tractor for a visit to the breeding farm and the camp in a beautiful Camargue with shimmering colors. The toros, the novillos, the cows and their calves grazing in complete peace under the watchful eye of Emma’s grandfather, Francis Colombeau, an extraordinary character and a true encyclopedia of the Camargue country. What fun!!!

Before returning at the end of the afternoon when it was high time to return to Vauvert before the threatening storm surprised us. A beautiful day at Campo as we enjoy at El Campo.
