Libreville, Sunday November 10, 2024 (Infos Gabon) – The members of this association spoke in favor of Yes last Wednesday on the occasion of their official outing at the stadium of the administrative city of the CEI, located in the 1st district of the Commune of Libreville.
In the referendum on November 16, the Colibri will vote Yes. They set their sights on the green card because the new constitution took into account the family unit through concrete provisions on youth. Especially since this draft text submitted for the appreciation of the Gabonese is the emanation of the people who expressed themselves at the national dialogue of April 2024.
“This constitution is the will of the Gabonese people, this is why dear brothers and sisters I invite you to vote massively for YES by going to the polling stations on November 16,” launched the honorable Charlotte Ondzague, president of Colibri.
For Ms. Ondzague, this new constitution will bring progress to Gabon in various areas. On the political level, for example, it introduces the limitation of the presidential mandate to two, that is to say 7 years renewable only once. “The period of 7 years is reasonable to allow the elected official to take action.”
Colibri, which is committed to supporting the country through its slogan “Do its part for Gabon”, chose this auspicious moment to demonstrate this will through the defense of the draft constitution. She invites the Gabonese to obtain the text in order to better understand the contours that should lead them to a useful vote, in a patriotic spirit.
The time has come to convince others that this constitution has not only taken into account our values, but also put us at the center as actors to defend the homeland.
“It is important to ask myself what I can do for my country before expecting anything in return from my country. This is doing something for the development of the country. And here at Colibri, we understood it. Hence our presence on the ground to explain to the Gabonese why to vote Yes,” added the honorable Charlotte Ondzague who thinks that this choice will allow us to move forward by avoiding unnecessary blockages.
Furthermore, this citizen and republican gathering was also an opportunity to present to the populations coming from the different districts of Libreville, the “Hummingbird” which was born 2 years ago by the will of a lady with a big heart whose vision is “Gabon first” which is a continuation of that of new authorities for the well-being of the populations.
The association is therefore determined to support the actions of the CTRI and the government which corroborate with its aspirations in favor of youth. We report concrete actions on the ground such as the construction of a canal in Ntcho Wina in Louis, drilling, access roads, the distribution of school kits and many other social aids thanks to the participation of the Head of State.
Colibri, whose teams are deployed on the ground, particularly in the neighborhoods through door-to-door and talks on the issues of this referendum and the new constitution, has arranged to meet voters on November 16 for the Yes victory.
