A few days before the MCVA professional baccalaureate tests (commerce and sales professions), Yana-Lou Pierron wins one of the twelve gold medals awarded in the “One of the best apprentices in France” competition in the sales employee category .

On the theme of the Olympic Games

The journey towards this great success began in October, when, for the first time, her business teacher, Séverine Ziegler, presented the competition to her 26 Terminale MCVA students and solicited applications. “To promote a product that you choose, you will have to create a window on the theme of the Olympic Games. A sporting discipline and a city will support the decor. »

Propelled to Lyon for the national competition on June 9

Yana-Lou Pierron and Chloé Jannot embarked on the project. With a showcase dedicated to climbing articles supplied by the Decathlon brand, Chloé was awarded the silver medal at the regional competition at the beginning of May in Audincourt (Doubs). And Yana-Lou, of the gold medal which gave her the ticket for the national competition on June 9 at the Cité Internationale in Lyon (Rhône), where her first supporter was Chloé.

Séverine Ziegler underlines the support and involvement of the entire school, management, teaching team and technical team. In Lyon, Yana-Lou was accompanied by business professors Séverine Ziegler and Delphine Patton, a technical agent, and her friend Chloé. And all day long, the 24 other Terminale students flooded Yana-Lou’s phone with messages of support, encouragement and congratulations.

The competition “One of the best apprentices in France”

Organized by the Société nationale des Meilleurs Ouvriers de France, the One of the Best Apprentices in France competition was created in 1985. First departmental, then regional, it has been national since 2001. It is aimed at young people aged under 21 years, in initial training (CAP, Bac Pro) under school status or under apprenticeship contract.
It attracts 6,500 young people every year in 120 different professions. The medals, bronze, silver and gold, are awarded, not according to a ranking, but according to ten criteria relating to the quality of the achievement, the file and the argumentation by the candidate.
Yana-Lou Pierron and the other winners will receive their medals in early 2025 at the Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris.
