We knew his talents behind the stove and spoon in hand. But the one she has just won in the national “La Cuillère d’Or” competition has a very particular flavor. Béatrice Berger-Turpin won the 2nd National Prize in cooking during the event which took place at the “Equiphôtel” show at Porte de Versailles, in Paris. A very selective competition where the competition was tough, no less than 28 participants, and where “it was necessary to demonstrate creativity and talent” underlines the winner.
The theme of the test proposed to Béatrice and her colleagues was formulated in the form of this semi-humorous title: “we are not quiches”. So, Béatrice set out to make this quiche which absolutely had to stand out from the others.
She later explains her good recipe to us: “We had to respect the fundamentals, namely a quality of crispy dough with bacon and onions. A lightly puffed quiche with spicy flavors, where I added peanuts or turmeric!”
Béatrice visibly won over the two juries (technical and tasters) who therefore placed her on the second step of the podium. A reward that will not fail to be known throughout Lauragais where, let us remember, Béatrice, a young retiree, is developing her small business “En Richard” of gourmet takeaway meals. But it is she who takes us away with her good flavors.
