On Friday, they forced a roadblock near the Corde bridge in Henvic. Their car had been intercepted not far away, on the D58 expressway, towards Morlaix, by the police, who had to shoot in the direction of the tires to immobilize the vehicle, without causing any injuries. The two men were arrested when they got out of the vehicle, while they were trying to flee.
Already convicted when they were minors
In police custody since Friday afternoon, the fugitives are two young adults, “born, one in August 2005, the other in July 2006. Both are known to the courts to have already been sentenced in 2023, so that they were still minors. One for violations of drug legislation, and two for violent theft,” Brest public prosecutor Camille Miansoni said in a press release this Saturday evening.
Wanted for six months
The two men “were wanted in the context of several investigations opened since May”. Their custody, for acts of “attempted homicide on a person holding authority, vehicle theft, damage to the property of others, rebellion, concealment of theft by an organized gang, destruction of property by fire, and offering , transport, acquisition, possession of narcotics” was extended this Saturday afternoon for a further period of 24 hours.
