This is the only surprise of Tedesco’s selection for this November gathering.

In addition to the return of Romelu Lukaku, the Red Devils selection includes a newcomer: Joaquin Seys. The 19-year-old Club Brugge defender is called up for the first time and was therefore preferred in particular to Killian Sardella, who was in the pre-selection.
“He’s a full-back above all,” explained Domenco Tedesco at a press conference. “More precisely a left-footed back who can also pass to the right. Recently, he has been playing with personality. We had already thought about him during the last gathering, but we still wanted to see how he was progressing. And he is moving in the right direction. He plays with personality and a lot of intensity. You have to be careful with this kind of profile, but we will integrate it as we did with Maxim De Cuyper. He has a really interesting profile. »
Seys will perhaps have the opportunity to earn his first minutes with the Devils against Italy (November 14 in Brussels) and Israel (November 17 in Hungary).
