Tony Todd, from zombies to bees
Born in 1954 in Washington DC, the actor made his big screen debut in 1986 in the Platoon directed by Oliver Stone and in Sleepwalkdirected by Sara Driver. At the end of the 80s/early 90s, the man played a series of more or less important roles in films (Bird, Night of the Living Dead) and series (21 Jump Street, MacGyver) cults, to the point of embodying a character who left his mark on Pop culture, the Candyman (1992).
The extraordinary film directed by Bernard Rose, adapted from a text by Clive Barker, made Tony Todd a cult figure in horror cinema. The 90s for the actor, it will notably be two sequels to Candyman (1995, 1999), episodes of Star Trek (1990, 1995, 1998), The Crow (1994), X-Files: On the Borders of Reality (1994), Black Fox (1995-1996), Rock (1996) et Wishmaster (1997).
