These are the departments of Hérault and Haute-Corse, which had recently been placed on orange alert for risks of rain-flooding.
“Still a few residual showers around the Mediterranean on Saturday, on the eastern side of Corsica locally intense showers develop during the day until the morning of Sunday with cumulative amounts over the episode of between 80 to 120 mm,” a indicated the meteorological agency.
“During the day on Saturday, in the north-east of Corsica (2B), significant accumulations are possible which could justify an increase in vigilance. It is appropriate to monitor the evolution of vigilance which could be worsened,” continued Météo-France.
