Less than 24 hours before the Eastern final against the Toronto Argonauts, Montreal Alouettes offensive line coach Luc Brodeur-Jourdain speaks with Mario Langlois.
Listen to the Alouettes-Argonauts match on the Cogeco network with Jean St-Onge and Jena-Philippe Bolduc from 3 p.m.
By his own admission, the team is ready.
“We quickly put a game plan in place last week in the event of facing Toronto. We also had one prepared in the event that we faced the Rouge et Noir. So, we are confident about facing Toronto,” said Brodeur-Jourdain.
“Nevertheless, we know we have to take up the challenge and it’s the same for both teams. There, we are two teams who were competitive in 2024. And then Toronto still finished the season well, so we should have good quality football.
And Brodeur-Jourdain notes that despite the Gray Cup triumph in 2023, the Alouettes still have everything to prove.
“Last year, we ended the season with a great series of victories and then we started the playoffs with three consecutive victories to win the Gray Cup. But this year, it’s still to say that it wasn’t luck.”
And what does Luc Brodeur-Jourdain expect?
“I’m expecting an extremely physical match, an exceptional crowd… It’s still been a long time since we had an Eastern final in Montreal. In terms of football, I expect a tough match.”
