Kadé Camara is his name. This mother of eight (8) children residing in Solomaniya in the urban commune of Dabola found herself spectacularly in the net of justice.

Initially, it was she who filed a complaint against one of her neighbors in the village for “child abduction”. Except that from questions to answers, she finally finds herself in the bonds of presumed guilt according to investigators.

The manager in charge of the OPROGEM cell at the Dabola central police station, Chief Commissioner Ibrahima Sylla, met by our editorial staff, gives explanations.

“It was last October that we received a complaint against a lady from Solomaniya that she sent her two daughters to Conakry for domestic work. We examined the file and we questioned the respondent who actually told us that her own daughter left for Conakry with Kadé Camara’s two daughters. When she told us this, we asked Kadé Camara if these were her biological daughters. She replied that they are not her biological daughters. So, we carried out our investigations by calling OPROGEM in Conakry, more specifically Sonfonia, who immediately contacted agents who went to discover the two girls in a courtyard in Kobaya, working for a gentleman. We asked Kadé Camara how these girls from Leone arrived at her house. She told us that her own daughter who lives in Sierra Leone sent her these. But that his daughter in question is in conflict with the law in Sierra Leone there. And currently, she is arrested by the Sierra Leonean police for having taken these girls to Guinea without the consent of their parents. So, she is under pressure from her daughter and that is why she wants to return these girls to Sierra Leone. When we asked how many children she has here, she presented us with these six (6). She told us that she reassured these children as well as their parents that she has a villa in Conakry, therefore, that she is capable of employing these children. So much so that she has nothing and she lives in the village. According to her explanations, it is a practice that she has been doing for a very long time. For us, this is human trafficking. Finally, we brought him to justice on Wednesday November 6, 2024.”

These children number six (6) people. They are four girls and teenagers aged 6, 8, 16 and 17 years respectively. And two teenagers aged 16 and 17.

“Since their arrival here, we have been the ones finding food and somewhere to sleep for them. And yet we don’t have a budget for this. We will present them to the judge who will tell us what action to take,” added chief commissioner Ibrahima Sylla.

The prefectural director for the advancement of women, children and vulnerable people in Dabola is calling on reception centers to better help victims.

“I listened to the children and sent them to the Faranah regional inspectorate, which in turn went back to Conakry. So we are waiting for the answer. We are requesting reception centers in Dabola here to be able to accommodate children who find themselves in such situations. I thank the police because in addition to what I give, every day it is the police who share what they are preparing there with these children”launched Amadou Oury Diallo.
