RUGBY XV – The New Zealanders were patient to win this Friday evening in Dublin. Their success was evident at the end of the match (13-23).
The trips to London and Dublin were a success for the All Blacks. After their victory in England last Saturday (22-24), they do it again in this revenge of the last world quarter-final. Ireland falls again against the country which has long been its nemesis. The visitors made the fewest mistakes, their success was built by taking the points before burying the Clover with a try in the last part of the match. 13-23 during this game marked by a large number of hand faults. The rain didn't help either.
Initially, the two teams neutralize each other
The Ireland’s call and the so got the spirits up at the Aviva Stadium, but these humid conditions are making for soapy hands. The balls escape and the scrums follow one another in the first quarter of an hour. The locals are aggressive in the rucks and slow down the exits. The players are already starting to bicker, argue, grab each other's collars. The match is chaotic, the two nations manage to create actions in several phases, but lose the ball each time. Ireland made a lot of mistakes at the end of the period, which gave the New Zealanders ammunition. No try at the break, the All Blacks lead 9-6 thanks to penalties of Damian McKenzie.
The second half gets off to a flying start. Clover camped in the opposing 22 meters and ended up finding the first flaw of the game. Josh Van der Flier mark, four points ahead for his team. Not finding the way to the goal, New Zealand looked for the post route in this second half. This allows them to get back in front at the hour mark (13-18). McKenzie only misses two chances, he will be impeccable until the end of the match. Visitors drive the point home by being patient, Will Jordan flattening at the end of the line for their first try of the match. Eire regained its intensity in the final minutes but did not come back to score. The All Blacks are 2 for 2 on this fall tour.
