Christine OJONG, commonly known as Maman Ojong in the Christian community in Cameroon and beyond, is no more. The wife of the late Pastor Philip OJONG serving at the Full Gospel Mission in Cameroon went to find her husband who died in December 2022.
The awakening was abrupt and difficult Wednesday morning for the Christian community in Cameroon and particularly for the faithful and leaders of the Full Gospel Mission. A little late in the evening, the news of the death of the wife of the famous servant of God within the MPE spread like wildfire. The one who served the Lord alongside him for almost two decades passed away Tuesday evening at the Douala General Hospital following illness. In an announcement, the Full Gospel Mission confirms the death of Christine OJONG and writes “Mother Ojong approached the Lord. Please include the entire family in your prayers.”
No funeral date has been announced at this time. The Full Gospel Mission specifies that information on the funeral program will be communicated later.
