Venezia vs. Parma: Betting Odds
Venezia
Venezia suffered a heavy defeat against Inter, but still received plaudits for their performance. Inter played with fire… In the 90+8th minute, defender Schwerk’s goal was canceled after a VAR review, revealing that a Venezia player had fouled Bisseck and touched the ball with his hand. “I don’t think the hand is obvious, but I don’t want to discuss this episode. Generally speaking, the refereeing was unbalanced throughout the match – clearly not in our favor,” Di Francesco complained afterwards the meeting.

Regardless, the Serie A newcomers left the field with their heads held high and are now aiming for their second win in three games before the November international break. A notable change to their play against the Nerazzurri was the introduction of individual marking during corners near their own goal, with the team having often conceded from set pieces in the past. “Nothing is absolute; we adapt to our opponents,” said the coach.
Parma
After four straight draws, Parma expected to secure a home win against Genoa, but Fabio Pecchia’s side disappointed them. They lost to the Griffons with a score of 0-1. However, there are many ways to lose a match. Parma recorded no shots on target against their opponents – a stat they hadn’t seen in almost two years. The fans booed their team after the final whistle.
The lack of shots on goal can partly be attributed to the serious injury suffered by the team’s playmaker, Adrian Bernabe, who was forced off in the 17th minute – he will be out for at least a month. “Without Bernabe, I expect even more from those who play in this position, including Zoma. We have to take responsibility; we have to do more to win,” Pecchia said.

Venezia vs. Parma: Author’s Prediction
Parma is not in its best moment, but Venezia is doing even worse while Di Francesco’s team finds itself in the relegation zone. The Flying Elephants will be playing at home and will not be able to employ their preferred counter-attacking strategy – unless they take the lead first.
Parma is unlikely to display quality team play given the absence of several injured players, but individually they have players capable of resolving specific situations. I predict Venezia will at least avoid defeat, even if the visitors manage to score once.
