“Israel Assassin”, “Yaël accomplice”, “Yaël, get out”, « Free Palestine ». These are the slogans which were tagged on the ground and on the walls of the University III, before the arrival of the President of the National Assembly, Yaël Braun-Pivet, Friday November 8. In the afternoon, around a hundred pro-Palestinian demonstrators entered the premises of the establishment, where protests continued. Several left-wing organizations, including the Solidaires and Unef student unions and the local Jeunes LFI, denounced her coming to Lyon 3, calling her “prominent figure in unconditional support for the criminal actions of the Israeli state”. The President of the National Assembly, Yaël Braun-Pivet, affirmed her desire to interact with everyone upon arriving at the University: “Some prefer invective, prefer obstruction rather than dialogue. She was invited by students for an exchange, after a trip to Neuville-sur-Saône (Rhône), as part of Parliament's policy of opening up to the outside world. In a short press release, the Lyon III Jean-Moulin University condemned “with the greatest firmness the unacceptable and scandalous inscriptions which have been tagged”and announced that justice had been taken.
