It has already been almost 10 years since Grégoire Bonnet joined the cast of Household scenes. In front of the cameras of this successful series broadcast on M6, he plays Philippe, a pharmacist in a relationship with the beautiful Camille, played by Amélie Etasse. And the least we can say is that the character does not please everyone. Its condescending side annoys more than one… starting with the National Council of the Order of Pharmacists (CNOP), which complained a few years ago to the management of the chain of image of the profession reflected in fiction. Faced with the situation, Grégoire Bonnet explains himself.

Guest on the show Culture Media on the airwaves of Europe 1 Thursday November 7, 2024, the actor who spent happy days in a sumptuous country house was questioned on the subject. “This is completely absurd“, he first said. And to tell how the character of Philippe was created: “In fact, when I arrived on M6, (…) we started to build a character because that's how it happens. And I said that I wanted to have all the faults: someone who loves money, big cars… A bit of a nouveau riche. I wanted to have all these flaws.“The channel therefore accepted the request of Grégoire Bonnet, who since 2015 has played this pharmacist who is often cynical, arguing that the illness of others constitutes his livelihood.

Household scenes and M6 pinned down by pharmacists, a complaint heard by the channel

However, on screen, Philippe only represents himself and certainly not the entire profession. And Grégoire Bonnet wanted to remind us of this at the microphone of Europe 1. “I am not giving an image of all pharmacists, whom I really like.he declared. There are pharmacists in the provinces and suburbs who are suffering, it's not easy for them. But there are some pharmacists who are good, who are happy with their lives.“It is the latter, whose finances are in good shape, that he caricatures in his own way in Household scenes. And the 58-year-old actor revealed that the CNOP's complaint had been heard: “I understand that M6 production asked to calm things down with the authors. But then, I asked the authors again, telling them that it's been a long time since we've seen a good asshole! (Laughs) Actually, it's called humor.“A final word that he hopes will be heard by the injured pharmacists.
