The 215 students at the Paulette-Martin des Matelles school (Hérault), near Montpellier, will have to wait again before returning to class. The establishment, affected by a fire on October 31, remained closed Thursday November 7 and Friday November 8, 2024 while awaiting new analysis results on the possible presence of asbestos, reports France Bleu Hérault .
The town hall has in fact requested additional tests after the first reassuring readings carried out last Monday. As reported Free Midday the fire broke out in a shelter located next to the school library. Two vehicles were destroyed in the flames.
