Exactly a week after investigating in a trio with Alexandra Ahle during a successful crossover (and followed by nearly 5.4 million viewers), Astrid and Raphaëlle rediscover their duo dynamic with the launch, this Friday, November 8 at 9:05 p.m. on France 2, of the highly anticipated season 5 of the police comedy (our opinion). Highly anticipated because, remember, the finale of the previous chapter was particularly eventful. On one side, Raphaëlle (Lola Dewar) learned that she was pregnant with Nicolas (Benoît Michel). On the other, Tetsuo (Kengo Saito) was preparing to announce to Astrid (Sara Mortensen) that he was going to have to leave France to return to Japan… A year after these cliffhangers, and before you discover the new episodes, Sara Mortensen spoke with Télé-Loisirs…
Astrid and Raphaëlle : “Their friendship will be called into question”Sara Mortensen addresses a central issue of season 5
Télé-Loisirs: Season 4 ended with two cliffhangers: the upcoming departure of Tetsuo and the announcement of Raphaëlle's pregnancy. Will these two elements be addressed quickly in this season?
Sara Mortensen : Yes, they both will be! Regarding the pregnancy, it will disrupt Astrid, her daily life, the rituals and the routine that have been put in place, even if she has long since understood that Raphaëlle, who is only spontaneity, was part of her unexpected events. With each new element, Astrid documents herself. So she read that an infant takes up almost all of his parents' time. She wonders to what extent their friendship will be called into question with the arrival of a little one.
Another common thread is developed this season. It is linked to a traumatic event from Astrid's past…
She discovers it as late as the viewer! This will work on her without her knowing, at first, what it really is. At first, she thinks that her troubles are linked to Tetsuo's departure and the arrival of Raphaëlle's baby, but that has nothing to do with it.
Astrid and Raphaëlle : “Poor thing, Astrid is expensive”Sara Mortensen reveals what awaits her character in season 5!
Is this season the most trying for Astrid?
To be completely honest, when I read the scripts, I told the author, Alexandre De Seguins : “Are we sure we really want to do all this to poor Astrid?” (She laughs.) This season is extremely trying for her. Moreover, this traumatic element will awaken something in her. This will further disrupt his head, his body. She's already having trouble with her own body… Poor thing, she's expensive.
Have you watched this season? (This interview was conducted on October 16, editor’s note)
No, I didn't watch it. In fact, I still have trouble looking at Astrid. I don't know. When I finish shooting something, for me, it no longer belongs to me. Being an actress means telling part of a story. The screenplay tells another story, the editing yet another thing. Once I've told my part, I really have the feeling that it no longer belongs to me. So I watch very little. This happens to me, especially to remind myself of things before answering interviews… But anyway, when I look, I see everything that's wrong! It’s still painful! And, with Astrid, I have modesty. I love watching Lola though.
