A very hectic evening is expected on the Languedoc-Roussillon this Friday, November 8, 2024. Météo has just placed the departments of Aude andHérault on orange alert rain-flood et thunderstorms. This will start from 6:00 p.m. and must continue for a good part of the night before a lull expected around 6 a.m. Saturday.

“The cumulative rainfall for this stormy episode could reach 80 to 120 mm, locally 150/180 mm,” warns the prefecture of Aude. The department of Pyrénées-Orientales remains placed in yellow vigilance.

Several sectors concerned

“We will monitor in the evening and night from Friday to Saturday, as well as Saturday morning, the extension of precipitation over larger areas of Aude and Hérault, possibly even spilling over locally towards the north of Roussillon and the West. ,” warns the specialized site Weather Languedoc.
