The Mass Effect television series, based on the famous video game franchise, has found its screenwriter in the person of Daniel Casey, and will be produced on Prime Video.
Variety reports that Daniel Casey was chosen to write the series Mass Effect and ensure executive production. He is best known for his work on the film 'Kin' (2018) and for participating in the writing of 'Fast and Furious 9' (2021), the last film in the saga. Casey was also involved, although uncredited, in writing the thriller '10 Cloverfield Lane' (2016).
Alongside Casey, several executive producers will be in attendance, including Karim Zreik, Ari Arad et Michael Gamble. However, details regarding the plot of the series still remain under wraps, sparking much speculation.
The franchise'Mass Effect', launched in 2007 by the studio BioWare, spans four video games, with a particularly acclaimed trilogy. The story follows Commander Shepard, whose mission is to save the galaxy from the threat of the Reapers, hibernating machines.
