Bruno Pelat, the former companion of Iris Mittenaere, has just been tried for domestic violence against his ex-partner. But who is the 22-year-old young man, son of a rich businessman?
Bruno Pelat, who shared Iris Mittenaere's life for several months, is “the heir of a famous businessman”. His father, Olivier Pelat, who heads a powerful real estate group, “is one of the 100 richest families in France”, which puts the young man's fortune at several tens of millions of euros. He is also the grandson of the late politician Roger-Patrice Pelat.
According to our colleagues from “Here”, Iris Mittenaere and her companion spent “a lot of time in the luxurious apartment” of the young man in Montmartre, or “in heavenly places around the world”.
Iris Mittenaere files a complaint against Bruno Pelat
However, on Wednesday September 25, we learned that the former Miss Universe 2016 had decided to file a complaint against her companion for domestic violence not exceeding eight days of incapacity for work (ITT), according to the public prosecutor. He was tried by the Paris criminal court on November 6 for hitting the young woman, banging her head against a wall as well as threatening to make him lose his professional contracts. The 22-year-old man was sentenced to 1 year in prison, including 6 months suspended at the end of his trial.
A discreet couple
The former Miss France was very discreet about her relationship with Bruno Pelat, 9 years her junior, so as not to expose herself to indiscretions and rumors about her relationship. The first speculations about their relationship spread only a few months after the announcement of her breakup with Diego El Glaoui last May.

However, she had shared a few photos with the young man while she was on vacation in Saint-Tropez. Despite the ordeal she has faced in recent days, Iris Mittenaere can count on the support of her loved ones who came to accompany her during the trial which took place behind closed doors, according to the request of her lawyer in order to respect the privacy of the young woman.
