A new attendance record to come? Lumières en Seine takes over Halloween at the Domaine de Saint-Cloud

One spectacle chases another at the Saint-Cloud national domain. After having been haunted for two weeks by the family show Parc de l'Étrange, for Halloween, during the All Saints' Day holidays, the 460 ha site managed by the Center des monuments nationaux (CMN) will welcome from November 15 the fourth edition of the Lumières en Seine festival. Reservations are already open.

Building on the success of the first three editions, which attracted more than 390,000 visitors in total and led the organizers to go into overtime last year, the event will once again illuminate in a magical way this emblematic site of Ile-de- heritage located in the gates of .

At nightfall, visitors will be able to stroll along a route of 25 illuminated paintings lasting approximately 1h30. Regulars will be able to rediscover several installations present in previous years, which have become essentials such as the “Celestial Curtains”, “Aurora Borealis” or the show of the “Palace of Waters”, which lights up the Grande Cascade of the Saint-Cloud national domain .

There will be a second edition of the Halloween festival

Visitors will also be able to discover new paintings such as “Les Arbres Mélodiques”, whose play of light synchronizes with piano notes, the “Bassin Ardent” which combines water play of fountains and flames or even the installation “Les Arbres Guardians of the Woods”, which makes hologram animals emerge from the trees, as well as “Light Anemones”, imagined by the German artist Malte Kebbel and installed on the basin of the large jet.

After two weeks of respite for the national domain of Saint-Cloud, the Christmas lights will replace the Halloween decorations of the Parc de l'école, the first edition of which was a success. “More than 50,000 visitors flocked in two weeks. The objective has been achieved,” rejoices Bertrand Julhès, president of Fêtes et Feux, the production company behind this horrifying immersive journey. The latter intends to organize a second edition next year and hopes to perpetuate the event by improving it.

“The first days were rainy, making some paths muddy, particularly in the lower park. Next year, we will avoid some of these paths or improve them. We also want to offer an alternative loop that is prohibited for under-18s on the route, because the teenagers who came this year were looking for gorier entertainment and settings.”

“Lumieres en Seine”, every evening, from Friday November 15 to Sunday January 12, from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. (last entry at 9:30 p.m.), at the Domaine National de Saint-Cloud (entrance via the Clemenceau gate). Closed Mondays and Tuesdays outside school holidays, as well as December 11, 24 and 31. Prices: from 16 euros to 24 euros. Information and reservations on lumieresenseine.com
