Around 8 a.m. this Thursday, an explosion occurred in a building in Valence, in Drôme, reports Blue. The explosion is believed to be the work of a resident of the 5th floor of the Beauharnais building, located on avenue Maurice-Faure.

The man threw himself from the 5th floor

Wanting to end his life, he then turned on the gas in his apartment, causing the detonation, before throwing himself out of the window. Dispatched to the scene, firefighters took care of the victim, whose vital prognosis was in jeopardy. According to the Dauphiné Libéréit would be a 76-year-old man.

Under the power of the explosion, car windows located at the bottom of the building exploded.
