On February 28, Michel Blanc will also receive a tribute during the Césars ceremony. “Is this a fair recognition of the immense actor he was?”Flavie Flament then asked him.
“Yes… there was just one little thing that bothered me, it was that we talked a lot about Jean-Claude Dusse who was really his creationhe replied. He was the one who wrote it, who built it. He assumed it but he did many other things that were much deeper and more cultural.” Before continuing: “And again I don’t like those words, it’s like auteur films and commercial films. Since the death of Michel Blanc, Gérard Jugnot has been grieving. On October 10, with the Splendid troupe, he went to the Saint-Eustache church, located in the 1st arrondissement of Paris for the funeral of his friend. A few days before, the actor went to Nice for the closing ceremony of the CinéRoman festival. Faced with a tribute paid to Michel Blanc, he could not hide his emotion. Sinking in his seat, Arthur Jugnot’s father had his eyes full of tears and his head in his hands. He then remained speechless at the honor that the assembly had reserved for his friend. More recently, on October 24, Gérard Jugnot had a tender thought for Michel Blanc by sharing a photo of the front of the Mac Mahon cinema, located in the 17th arrondissement of Paris. On the facade, a sign reads “Hommage Michel Blanc”.
