This Thursday, the Dijon public prosecutor's office provided an update on the Ruffey-lès-Echirey murder case. As a reminder, Maud Seguin Ménard, 49, was discovered unconscious at her home on October 29, stabbed in the neck in her bathtub.
According to our colleagues from Public Good who attended this Thursday's press conference, the public prosecutor revealed that the victim's stepdaughter and her boyfriend, aged 16, are suspected of having killed her at her home the day the body was discovered. They were taken into custody. The boyfriend, who allegedly carried out the fatal blows, said he buried the knife.
The two teenagers are presented to an investigating judge with a view to their indictment for murder, concerning the young man, and for complicity in murder for the daughter-in-law.
