The sun is out this Tuesday morning over a large part of Reunion. But next night, the East should be well rained and the gusts of wind will not weaken in Saint-Denis and Saint-Pierre.

At daybreak, generally sunny weather prevails this Tuesday, June 11, with at most a few residual clouds over the wild South and towards the lava route. As the day goes on, clouds develop along the slopes with a preference for the highs of the West or South-West where some cloudiness is possible a little later this afternoon.

The wind remains a notable element of the day with gusts still present on the exposed coasts, they can locally exceed 60 km/h on the northern coast. They are also sustained in the wild south with peaks reaching 75 km/h. Temporarily gusts also enter the Plaine des Cafres with peaks of 50 km/h.

Another thing to note is a significant deterioration in the weather next night. Indeed, clouds carrying sometimes moderate to heavy showers approach the eastern side of the island, elsewhere the sky is covered by high clouds. The sea remains strong in the wild south with a southern swell of around 2.5 meters this morning decreasing to around 2 meters at the end of the day.
