The Royal Canadian Mounted Police in Meteghan, Nova Scotia, have laid charges against a man in connection with a fire that caused damage to a building in December 2023.

On December 14, 2023, members of the RCMP and fire services responded to a suspicious fire at a business located on Maza Road in Bangor.

Officers found and seized an incendiary device and other evidence at the scene. They then obtained recordings from CCTV cameras of nearby buildings.

Two days later, on December 16, a second suspicious fire broke out in the same business and the building was completely destroyed.

November 4th, Tyler Langford33 years old, Weymouthwas charged with arson and damage to property.

However, it is not specified whether Tyler Langford is linked to the second fire which affected the business on December 16.

The man is already in custody for other offences.

His first appearance in connection with the fires is scheduled for January 20.
