The man suspected of having killed Hélöise, 17, on Sunday October 20, 2024, fled from Rouvray hospital where he was being held. The information was revealed by our colleagues from Paris-Normandy and confirmed by a police source.
The man left the hospital on Wednesday November 6, 2024, shortly before 6 p.m. before being arrested by the national police at 9:50 p.m. the same day. He was placed in a psychiatric hospital on October 22, 2024 after 48 hours of police custody.
Héloïse, a 17-year-old girl, was killed in her ex-partner's home in the Hauts-de-Rouen district.
It was a member of Héloïse's family who then found the body and called for help. The latter, a resident of Déville-lès-Rouen, was in her ex's apartment at the time of the events and had already succumbed to her injuries.
The suspect, born in January 2002, is already known to the police for acts of domestic violence. He is suspected of having hit his ex-girlfriend numerous times before fleeing by train and being arrested at Saint-Lazare station in Paris.
The judicial police were seized of the investigation, opened for the charge of assassination.
