Gouiri makes a radical decision!

Algeria Foot – coach Julien Stéphan has once again excluded Algerian international Amine Gouiri from the starting team, for the second time in a row. Indeed, during the Ligue 1 match against , counting for the 10th day, Gouiri found himself on the sidelines, a situation which begins to raise questions about his future within the Breton club.

According to French media, this prolonged sidelining would have caused Gouiri to really reflect on his future with Rennes. Although he is under contract until 2027, the 23-year-old striker is reportedly considering leaving the club as early as the winter transfer window in January, due to his dissatisfaction with his lack of playing time. Man of the Match revealed that several clubs, particularly in Germany, are closely monitoring Gouiri's situation. Among these interested parties, Eintracht Frankfurt seems particularly inclined to recruit the Algerian international, especially since the German club already has Farès Chaïbi, a teammate of Gouiri in the selection, in its ranks.

However, Gouiri has not yet decided on his immediate future. Two options are available to him: leave in January to find playing time and relaunch his career, or wait until the summer of 2025 for a possible exit in better conditions. This choice proves crucial for the player, who seeks to maintain his level of competitiveness in order to maintain his place in the Algerian national team.

Amine Gouiri's case will therefore be closely monitored in the coming months, because a departure could be beneficial for his career, while Rennes risks losing a promising element.
