Algeria Foot – Rennes coach Julien Stéphan has once again excluded Algerian international Amine Gouiri from the starting team, for the second time in a row. Indeed, during the Ligue 1 match against Auxerre, counting for the 10th day, Gouiri found himself on the sidelines, a situation which begins to raise questions about his future within the Breton club.
According to French media, this prolonged sidelining would have caused Gouiri to really reflect on his future with Rennes. Although he is under contract until 2027, the 23-year-old striker is reportedly considering leaving the club as early as the winter transfer window in January, due to his dissatisfaction with his lack of playing time.
