On Saturday, Vidailhan Park will host the 10th edition of the eco-district festival.
The 10th edition of the Vidailhan festival is scheduled for Saturday in the heart of the eco-district. Every spring, the Vivr’à Vidailhan association mobilizes its volunteers and Balmanese associations for the benefit of this day dedicated to free intergenerational entertainment and events. An event that matches the association’s ambitions: “animating the eco-district, representing its inhabitants and developing eco-citizenship”, recalled President Vincent Chaboy at the general assembly.
A copious program
From 10 a.m., the Balma gym sport health association will accompany the public on a walk to discover the eco-district. Between 3 and 6 p.m., the large park will host several activities: bouncy castle, ball pool, upheaval, lasso challenge, duck fishing, tug of war, “chrono bomb” course, wooden games (hosted by Tous en games), access to the game library area of the Vidailhan neighborhood center and “tree climbing” session in complete safety (led by Libertree).
From 2 to 6 p.m., Vivr’à Vidailhan will invite local associations to present demonstrations of their activities. The MJC in Balma will therefore offer scrapbooking, upholstery, plastic arts for children and hip-hop workshops. The Toulouse-Balma martial arts club will perform combat sports demonstrations, the Flagmingos will carry out flag football workshops, the Taï-chi Balma association will provide access to the practice of its discipline, Buddy’s country club will offer a show in country fashion, Flo and Luc will reveal the art of salsa, the Tornado country show will produce a demonstration of Brazilian-style country dance. At the same time, volunteers from the Glob’trotteurs solidaires association will present their charitable approach and a workshop on ecology.
A snack will be served at 4 p.m. (piece of cake and drink: €1), before the 7 p.m. aperitif and the official speeches. Then, the organizers will invite the residents to a shared meal on the principle of the Spanish inn. Finally, the day will end with the concert given by the Avrial group from 9 p.m. Rock atmosphere on the program, while the five musicians from Avrial will reveal their own compositions, but also covers of well-known hits, sometimes in French, sometimes in English.
