Rude awakening for four members of a family this Sunday, November 3, 2024, in the town of Villeneuve-sur-Lot, in Lot-et-Garonne.
At 6:58 a.m., they were awakened by a fire that broke out at ground floor level of their house.
Two cats taken care of by firefighters
The four members of the family were able to be evacuated before the firefighters arrived. They will be rehoused by the Villeneuve-sur-Lot town hall.
On the other hand, the fire affected the entire ground floor of the house and the smoke caused damage to the first floor.
The firefighters also taken care of the two family catsfound on site and bothered by the fumes. They received oxygenation treatment.
The intervention mobilized two fire trucks and 15 firefighters.
