The United States announced new military deployments in the Middle East that will arrive “in the coming months” for the “defense of Israel” and as a warning to Iran, according to a Pentagon press release Friday, November 2.
The head of the Pentagon “continues to make clear that if Iran, its partners or affiliated groups take advantage of this moment to target U.S. personnel or interests in the region, the United States will take all necessary measures to defend our people”underlines the press release.
These new military deployments include ballistic missile defenses, fighter jets, B-52 bombers and other types of military aircraft.

Israel, of which the United States is the main ally, has been engaged in a conflict with Iran and its regional relays since the start of the war in Gaza against Hamas on October 7, 2023. In addition to Hamas, it faces Lebanese Hezbollah on its northern border.
“A scathing response to their actions against Iran”
Israeli aircraft launched a raid on military targets in Iran on October 26 in retaliation for a salvo of some 200 missiles launched by Tehran on Israel on October 1.
On the Iranian side, the supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, threatened this Saturday, November 2 to respond to any attack by Israel and its ally, the United States, against Iran or its allied groups in the region.
