USAP achieved a valuable success with the offensive bonus against Vannes (32 to 13). The Catalans scored four tries and only conceded one. Michael Ruru, the RCV scrum-half, had announced his intentions to come for a victory with four or even five points, but it was a failure.
Aimé-Giral had to wait. USAP quickly took the score to its own (10 to 3) thanks to the footwork of Jero De la Fuente who managed to finish the action he had launched himself. It was then that the Catalan public lost patience : Riko Buliruarua then Ignacio Ruz thought in turn that they had made the difference in the score but both times, after the transformations, the referee Ludovic Cayre returned to the video and invalidated the two tries. The score of 10 to 3 at the break seemed light for the Catalans.
“Video, video!”
In the second act, USAP continued to build on its success and set out to conquer an offensive bonus. Three minutes from the end, it's So'otala Fa'aso'o who scored the offensive bonus try to the great joy of Aimé-Giral.
Thanks to this offensive bonus, USAP is doing well in the standings and leaves Vannes eight points behind. At the end of the match, Jean-Noël Spitzer, the manager of RC Vannes, recognized his team's defeat: “When I see the number of injured at USAP and the quality of their match and their squad, it shows the extent of the work that we have left.“
The Aimé-Giral crowd saw a third victory in three games this season and did not lack humor in accompanying Ludovic Cayre's return to the locker room by singing “video, video.”
