The FCG wins a valuable victory at the Stade des Alpes this Friday. The Grenoble rugby players beat Agen 37 to 10 for the 9th day of Pro D2 and at the same time won the offensive bonus. Result: Grenoble is 3rd in the ranking, tied on points with the first two, Montauban and Biarritz.
The first half was very serious for the Grenoblois, who scored their first try in the 4th minute (Sarragallet) before doing it again in the 12th minute (Phillips). Very clean in their exchanges, the Grenoblois only conceded one penalty to the Agen players. In the second half, the reds and blues were more feverish, conceding a try in the 55th minute (Guion). But fortunately the Isère players were able to show seriousness at the end of the match and take advantage of a double numerical superiority to score three other tries: a penalty try in the 73rd minute then two goals from Farnoux (74th and 79th minute) in order to win the offensive bonus.
After two consecutive trips – a narrow victory in Béziers and a narrow defeat in Montauban – the Grenoblois returned to the Stade des Alpes where they are still undefeated this season.
