US Concarneau's series ended at eight consecutive games without defeat against Sochaux (1-0), Friday 1is December during the 11th day of National at the Bonal stadium. A second defeat this season, a first since August 23 against Nancy (3-0).
The Concarnois had to lose on the only goal scored by Mathieu Peybernes from a corner (34'). A match tarnished by an expulsion from each side (Salles and Drammeh) after a scuffle just before half-time. Discover the first reaction of the Concarne coach.
Stéphane Rossi (US Concarneau coach):
“In these moments, you have to stay calm. I kept it. Others don't. I think that over the whole match, it penalized us because I was forced to bring out a player who has the ability to build the game, find passes, score goals. It may have served us well over the duration of the match.
We have to be honest, this evening we had two or three chances. I would have liked to see the Sochaux team being forced to expose themselves to get a result. That wasn't the case. They played it well. We will have to re-mobilize ourselves to perform well next weekend.
On an offensive level, it was perhaps the most difficult match of the season for us, until today. »
