A Ukrainian drone attacked an oil depot in southern Russia overnight from Thursday to Friday, Russian authorities said, reporting 83 other drones shot down by its anti-aircraft defenses.

“This night, a drone fell on (…) an oil depot in Svetlograd (Stavropol region, south). There are no victims. Emergency services are working on site,” according to the region’s governor, Vladimir Vladimirov on Telegram.
Thursday evening, three Ukrainian drones targeted energy companies in Ufa, Bashkortostan, said the head of this Russian republic, Radiï Khabirov on Telegram.
Kyiv says it is carrying out these strikes, which often target energy sites, in response to Russian bombings on its territory.
The Russian Defense Ministry also claimed to have shot down 83 Ukrainian drones in Russia and annexed Crimea during the night from Thursday to Friday.
According to the ministry, Russian anti-aircraft forces intercepted and shot down 36 drones in the Kursk region, a few hundred square kilometers of which have been under the control of the Ukrainian army since its surprise offensive in August.
In the Bryansk region, twenty were intercepted, according to the ministry, but one resident of the city was injured in the drone attack on his home, according to the governor of the region, Alexander Bogomaz on Telegram.
Eleven other drones were shot down in the Ukrainian border regions of Voronezh (eight) and Belgorod (three), and four in Oriol, 300 km southwest of Moscow.
The Crimean peninsula, annexed by Moscow in 2014, was also the target of twelve drones which were shot down, the Russian Defense Ministry said on Telegram.
Russia announces almost daily that it has destroyed Ukrainian drones, but in generally lower numbers.
