70 people relocated
The large-scale fire forced nearly 70 local residents to find an emergency solution to spend the night. It is now time to clear the rubble for specialized services, particularly at rue Genette, where the framework has completely collapsed. In total, nearly 200m² of roof ended up in ashes, a significant observation which is causing anger among some users.
On Facebook in particular, “ One in two accommodations in AirBnB!!! » denounces for example the account Annecy Disfigured. All while taking up the quote from Alexandre Mulatier Gachet, first deputy of the city to Dauphiné Libéré: “ As for furnished short-term rentals, which represent half of the apartments concerned, the owners or concierge services have offered new accommodation for the night. » An investigation was opened by the Annecy public prosecutor's office to discover the causes of this disaster.
