This week in The Best Pastry Chef 2024 on M6, the ten candidates still in the competition competed on the theme of Japan. Here is who left the adventure during the fourth episode led by Mercotte, Cyril Lignac and Laëtitia Milot.
After Céline's departure last week, there were only ten left to embark on this new week of Best pastry chef. Laëtitia Milot, who now presents the gourmet competition, revealed the theme of the next three events: Japan. The candidates had to let their creativity speak by representing their vision of the country. During the test, Benjamin spoke about his weight loss: “I was a little overweight when I was little. When people you know call you fat, obviously it affects you. It had an impact on the sport, to always have an impeccable physique”delivered the solo dad to his confidante Laëtitia Milot.
The Best Pastry Chef 2024: what to remember from episode 4 on the theme of Japan
Between Benjamin's kimono, Timothée's trompe-l'oeil ramen, Romain's Mount Fuji and Laurène's makis, Mercotte and Cyril Lignac were amazed during the tasting. Inès, Tsiory and Jennifer disappointed the jury and finished at the bottom of the ranking for this first event. For the technical part, the pastry chefs had to pair up for Yu Tanaka's test. They had to work for an hour before handing over to their teammate. If Christelle and Timothée, and Romain and Tsiory, did wonderfully, Jennifer and Oussama and Inès and Benjamin did not convince the jury. For the surprise test, it was a slightly crazy challenge that awaited the pastry chefs : create a cake so light that it could fly into the air, once installed on a structure supported by helium balloons.
The Best Pastry Chef 2024: who left the competition for good after the fourth episode?
Jennifer obtained the Golden Cupcake in this event and therefore immediately qualified for the following week. Romain, for his part, obtained his first blue apron. After deliberation, Cyril Lignac and Mercotte estimated that Inès had the weakest level. She therefore joined Noëmie Honiat and Mohamed Belkassem in Who will return to the tent? to face Aurélie who had already won three duels. The two pastry chefs had to make a dessert using choux pastry, but Inès was unable to convince the chefs. She therefore definitively leaves the competition while Aurélie wins her fourth duel!
