A 38-year-old man was placed in police custody this Tuesday, October 29, after a fatal accident last week in Manéglise, the Le Havre prosecutor's office said this Wednesday. Thursday October 24 a little before 9 p.m., a 32-year-old woman died in her car on departmental road 31 near Manéglise, her four-year-old son was seriously injured, but his life is no longer in danger.
The driver of the other car, an Audi Q7 which was found on its roof, was taken into custody on Tuesday, according to witnesses, he was driving too fast at the time of the accident. “His police custody was extended this Wednesday eveningindicates the public prosecutor of Le Havre, Bruno Dieudonné. We are possibly moving towards the opening of a judicial investigation this Thursday.” The 38 year old man could then be placed in pre-trial detention.
