Faced with repeated increases in health premiums, new health initiatives will be put to the vote in June, but none gives any indication of the measures that should be taken to better control health costs in Switzerland. while the outlook remains very worrying. On the one hand due to the aging and state of health of the population, on the other hand due to a health system which, rather than preventing diseases linked to lifestyles, favors their medical treatment.

In this regard, the case of overweight and obesity is emblematic. We observe a rate of obesity among children and adolescents multiplied by five between 1990 and 2022 in the world, with dramatic consequences on non-communicable diseases such as diabetes, cardiovascular diseases and various cancers whose health, social and economic is considerable, including in Switzerland.
