It’s an address that she probably hasn’t saved in her “favorites.” The customer of a restaurant located in the Laurentides region (Quebec) left upset about her experience this Saturday, June 1, after reading the details of the bill.

As reported by Le journal de Montréal, the mother had lunch accompanied by her 2-year-old son. When taking the order, she told the waitress that her young child would be satisfied with the scraps of her meal. The customer receives a few moments later an empty plate in which she reserves some fruit for her son.

A small inscription… in the menu

Lunch continues, then comes the bill. On the bill, amounting to $51.55, almost 35 euros, there is a line that catches his attention: “Extra plate: 2 dollars”. The mother asks for explanations from the waitress and the manager who refers her to the restaurant menu: “On the placemat, it says in very small letters in the opposite direction that they charged $2 for extra plates. I never read it, I never saw it and I didn’t think that This would apply to a 2 year old child who doesn’t really eat.”she was offended to the QMI press agency.

A substitute that she cannot explain, especially since during the meal, the restaurant made available to her small individual portions of jam and peanut butter all packaged.

Upon inquiries, the Journal de Montréal confirmed that the restaurant regularly applied this “extra plate” policy.
