In turn attacking Emmanuel Macron and the EU, Jordan Bardella tries to mobilize the crowds to transform intentions into votes
Taking part, all smiles, in the same crowd as Marine Le Pen, Jordan Bardella joins the stage of the Palais des Sports in Paris, to deliver a speech lasting around half an hour. The president of the National Rally (RN) and head of the list in the European elections first greets the crowd, claiming to feel “to build the fervor of a great and beautiful victory for France”.
Mr. Bardella began his speech by calling on voters to vote. “We can and we must inflict on Emmanuel Macron the heaviest electoral defeat ever”he declared, calling for “dismantle the lie industry that governs France “. But “nothing is done until the French people have engraved this victory in stone by voting”added Jordan Bardella, to the cheers of the audience.
Afterme Le Pen, Jordan Bardella, in turn, attacked Emmanuel Macron and the presidential camp, believing that “their balance sheet no longer fools anyone, even the rating agencies anymore”. Friday evening, the Standard & Poor’s rating agency lowered France’s rating from AA to AA–. “It is therefore the ruin of the French and bankruptcy for France”said Mr. Bardella.
For the far-right candidate, the program of the list led by Valérie Hayer boils down to “go and put our neighbors in debt”has “the enlargement of the European Union to thirty-seven states, including the Balkans, Ukraine, and tomorrow, Islamist Turkey [Recep Tayyip] Erdogan »to the creation of a “European army and [au] sharing our nuclear weapon”. Also attacking the current President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, Jordan Bardella affirmed that by voting for her list, “never, Mme von der Leyen will not have the power to send the sons of France to risk their lives in combat.”referring to the European Union’s support for Ukraine.
“Faced with the instability of the coming times and the great convulsions of the world, we must build the Europe of the 21st century”declared Mr. Bardella, calling on voters to choose “between those who put thousands of farmers on the streets of the country [et] those who will let them live with dignity from their work, (…) between those who have hampered our businesses by an inflation of ever more restrictive standards [et] those who want to unleash growth, (…) between those who, in the name of punitive ecology, want to prohibit the purchase of cars with thermal engines [et] those who want to give motorists the freedom to travel without breaking the bank.”
