Super League – Danny McGuire takes the reins of a Super League team in 2025 – League

This is the big news of the day in the Super League. Former England superstar Danny McGuire is the new manager of Castleford for the next 3 seasons.

Has Castleford finally found his mentor? In turmoil for several seasons, the Tigers can no longer do it. They have not even seen the color of the Super League playoffs since 2019, even coming close to relegation in 2022 and 2023.

But this year, the club decided to sound the alarm. The recent IMG notes have only confirmed the very poor state of the club extra-sportingly. And the 15 small points won this year in the championship, sportingly.

But the time has come for change and what better way to start than finding new staff. And the Tigers have set their sights on Danny McGuire. Former Leeds glory in the 2000s and 2010s, the 41-year-old international scrum-half has already started to make his mark. Although it was not a success, this season he was Craig Lingard's deputy.

The Tigers are therefore holding their new coach for the next 3 seasons. Probably the former Rhinos legend will put all his leadership and knowledge of the game at the service of the Tigers so that they raise their heads as quickly as possible.
