PSG traveled this Sunday evening (8:45 p.m.) to Marseille to face OM as part of the 9th day of L1 2024/2025 and the Parisians largely did the job: Neves quickly opened the scoring and Harit was expel after 20 minutes. The match:
PSG kicks off and Dembélé plays in the middle, Lee on the right! The first duels are tough but Paris takes the ball, Barcola tries to overrun but is caught (2nd). After an action on the right side, Zaire-Emery shifts Dembélé into the axis who hits right into the arms of Rulli (4th). OM have a first counter but Vitinha comes back well. Dembélé throws Barcola well who challenges Murillo but still loses his duel (5th). PSG OPENS THE SCORE: Barcola and Mendes combine on the left and the Portuguese center, Rulli pushes back badly and Neves is there to score from close range (0-1, 7th)!
In the process, Rabiot smashes Neves but doesn't even take a warning (8th)! Paris dominates the game and it takes almost nothing for Zaire-Emery to find a partner in the area (10th). Lee and Hakimi combine in the area but the Moroccan cannot cross in the end (12th). Wahi tries to wake up OM but Donnarumma catches his shot from afar (13th). Dembélé finds Barcola in the area who hits but he is offside (15th). OM responds with a first real attack but Luis Henrique is offside on Greenwood's cross (15th).
PSG pushes OM into the game and Höjberg is forced to foul Neves and is warned (18th). Hakimi misses the free axial free kick offered (20th). The match changes to the following action: Marquinhos and Harit fight for a ball in the middle of the field, the Marseillais plants his crampons in the stomach. The referee stops the game, notes that Marquinhos is severely injured and sends off Harit (20th)! The Moroccan is furious and the slow motion is not very obvious but the VAR does not judge the main referee (23rd). OM will play 70 minutes at 10!
Paradoxically, OM have their best action straight away with a quick attack and Nuno Mendes has to concede a corner but Donnarumma catches it well (24th). Barcola recovers a good ball but he misses his ball control in stride (26th). Marseille has a good counter but Pacho eats Wahi in depth (29th). PSG doubles the bet on a cap goal: missed cross from Hakimi, Balerdi cuts and wants to go back but Rulli is out and the ball goes into the goal (0-2, 29th)! BUT WHAT A CLOISTER GOAL!!!
OM are knocked out, the stadium is off and Paris continues to attack but the corner is pushed back and Neves can't really shoot either (33rd). Marquinhos tries to find Neves in depth but it is too long and Rulli captures (37th). On a fantastic action from PSG, the 3-0 came very close but the center within 6m was cleared in disaster (37th). Paris scores a superb third goal: Lee intercepts and throws Dembélé who blasts Brassier then hits, Rulli pushes back but Dembélé recovers and he serves Barcola in front of the 6m for the 3rd (0-3, 40th)!
Hakimi overflows on the right and crosses to the far post but Barcola misses his recovery in a very good position (45th). PSG misses a bit with a quick attack from OM but Pacho watches and makes a big comeback in his area to recover the ball and restart (45th + 1). Vitinha gives a goal ball to Hakimi who finally stumbles on Rulli but he was offside (45th + 3). At halftime, we have a great time. Rowe replaces Greenwood and Koné Wahi at the break. Paris leaves quietly, facing an OM in the street: Lee serves Hakimi who overflows and crosses to the far post, Barcola takes a left foot and misses the target (47th)!
Bad news for PSG with Mendes who is replaced by Beraldo, even if he leaves with a thumbs up (50th). OM have a good shot to play and Rabiot projects in depth, he clears Pacho then hits well above (52nd). PSG responds: Dembélé throws Barcola in depth, he advances then strikes but Balerdi counters (53rd). Paris spins and waits for Marseille to crack: Barcola is found on the left and he gives an incredible ball to Dembélé alone in front of the goal who shoots over (56th)! He is in fact offside but what a miss… Paris plays quietly, Marseille too and the game becomes pointless (63rd).
Vitinha launches a good counter and launches Barcola on the left who crosses with first intention but Kondogbia cuts in front of Dembélé (64th). For the last quarter of the match, Doué and Ruiz replace Barcola and Zaire-Emery (68th). The Spaniard is quickly in and cuts a good counter (69th). Marquinhos comes forward and hits but it misses (70th). Fabian Ruiz is still there to repel a dangerous cross (71st). On the counter, Dembélé advances and fixes then gives to Doué who hits hard in the gloves of Rulli (72nd)! Paris regains possession and Doué strikes but is blocked (74th) then his cross is bad (75th).
Hakimi overflows on the right and sends a perfect cross for Ruiz who sends his flat foot over the top in incredible fashion (80th)! Doué continues to force and attempts a right shot that is easily captured (81st). Ruiz throws Asensio in depth but Kondogbia catches him (82nd). Doué ignites on the left and strikes again, wide (83rd). OM has an opportunity: a long free kick to the far post for Brassier who sends his header over the top (84th). Doué overflows and crosses, finally, for Asensio who manages a nice recovery from the right that Rulli repels well (87th)! Dembélé tries from the left but does not catch the target (89th). Paris still has opportunities but the Parisians are often offside (90th).
