► Five dead, including a child, in a Russian missile attack in Dnipro, Ukraine
A Russian missile attack killed five people, including a child, on Friday evening in the city of Dnipro in east-central Ukraine, regional authorities said Saturday. Around twenty people were also injured, including “girls aged 8 and 16 and two boys aged 17”during this missile attack which occurred Friday shortly before midnight, according to regional governor Serguiï Lyssak on Telegram.
Residential buildings and houses, as well as hospital buildings were damaged, according to the same source. Dnipro is a large city located on the banks of the Dnieper River, relatively far from the front but very regularly targeted by air attacks.
Other nighttime strikes left one dead and one injured in the kyiv region, according to the regional military administration, while a drone attack on a residential building in the capital on Friday killed a teenage girl and injured five people, according to a new assessment.

Other attacks in the kyiv region killed a woman and injured a teenager overnight, the regional military administration said.
Earlier on Friday evening, a drone crashed into a residential tower in the capital, kyiv, causing a fire. The strike killed a teenage girl and injured six people, one of whom had to be hospitalized, according to a new report released on Saturday by the head of the local military administration, Serguiï Popko. According to him, this is the sixteenth air attack against kyiv in October.
The Russian army is advancing in eastern Ukraine, facing Ukrainian forces that are too few to stop them. On Saturday, the Russian Defense Ministry again claimed responsibility for the capture of a small village in the Donetsk region, Oleksandropil.
