Chariot Limited, a transitional energy company focused on Africa, announced on Tuesday the results of drilling the OBA-1 well on the “Dartois” prospect, the second of a two-well drilling campaign on the Loukos Onshore license (“Loukos”), onshore in Morocco (Chariot, 75% operator and ONHYM, 25%).

“Following a detailed evaluation of the well data, including logs, drilling details and gas, preliminary interpretations are as follows: confirmation of the presence of reservoirs within an interval with a gross thickness of 200 meters, corresponding to the pre-drilling objectives, and identification of a 70 meter gross interval exhibiting high resistibility, coinciding with elevated gas measurements in drilling muds, potentially suggesting the presence of a non-water containing gas layer », Underlines the company in a press release, a copy of which reached the newspaper Le Collimateur.

The company indicates, however, that analyzes will be carried out following drilling in preparation for a test which will determine the productivity of the well and the potential resources of the discovery.

The well will now be conditioned to allow testing operations and its potential use as a production well, the company announces.
