Zaho de Sagazan talks about his new life and admits to earning “a lot of money”: “It’s way too much”

A few days ago, the American press revealed that Selena Gomez was now a billionaire. However, the young artist refuses to speak on this subject, believing that it is not elegant to talk about money.

In the world of showbusiness, this type of point of view is not uncommon. Many stars are reluctant to talk about money, some out of modesty, and others out of a desire not to arouse jealousy. But Zaho de Sagazan decided to take the opposite approach.

Singer-songwriter, Zaho de Sagazan is the new French musical sensation. In March 2023, her first album “La Symphonie des éclairs” achieved phenomenal success: the following year, she was crowned with several Victoires de la Musique in the categories of original song, Best album, stage revelation and female revelation.

Enough to change the life of the young woman, who until then worked in a nursing home as a care assistant.

“It was one of the most beautiful experiences of my life,” she affirmed in front of the cameras of “Sept à quatre”, this Sunday, October 20, 2024. For her, her former activity was “one of the most beautiful jobs in the world”: “I gave so much, all my energy, to wash Mr. Anybody’s butt, for the smile of just one person… (…) When I go on stage, it’s is a piece of cake compared to it!”

The nursing staff who work in nursing homes do not, however, earn thousands and cents. Since becoming a successful singer, Zaho de Sagazan has seen her lifestyle change drastically: “It’s pretty much the opposite of my job [de chanteuse]. Now that it’s working, I earn a lot of money, I’m applauded every day, people say thank you to me all the time…”

A situation that she appreciates, but which nevertheless makes her feel very guilty: “It’s far too much. When I look at a care assistant, I tell myself that there is no reason for me to be more considered than her,” she says.

In an interview with Marie Claire magazine, the young 25-year-old singer had already mentioned her doubts: “My arrival in this profession was a whirlwind, and suddenly, with the interviews, I couldn’t stop talking about me, which was not at all what interested me at the start. Furthermore, as I am a “control freak” and I had decided to be independent, I had brought people – my friends – on board. on my project, and there was so much pressure that I tended to get lost in a thousand subjects. At one point, I wondered if I wouldn’t have been better off on a farm taking care of animals. ..”

And to specify: “It’s not human to be so solicited, scrutinized, complimented, applauded, sometimes insulted. I thought: ‘my God, what is happening to me, I have just signed with what? Why? Am I comfortable with this new life? All this accentuated by the impression that I could no longer turn around, which is false of course, we can always turn around.'”
