The Unisoc Tangula T760 offers eight processor cores clocked at 2 GHz. That’s relatively fast for a cheap mid-range smartphone, and it manages to outperform most similarly priced competitors in benchmark tests. Despite this, the predecessor was significantly faster with its Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 processor.

This means you have to deal with the recurring slowness of the Motorola Moto G35, even when navigating menus. More demanding tasks sometimes result in longer wait times for the system to respond.

Nevertheless, Motorola has equipped its phone with a slightly faster storage system: UFS 2.2 flash memory allows faster data transfer and shorter loading times than is usually expected in this price category .

After a longer charging period, the maximum case temperature is 45.4°C. However, even though it is noticeable, it is not a problem. Additionally, the SoC does not go into overdrive even after a long period of charging.

The earpiece is used as a second speaker and supports the main speaker along the bottom edge. This produces slight stereo effects and makes the sound more spatial. The music is reproduced very clearly and the maximum volume is sufficient. The voices are easy to understand, but the movie sound lacks a bit of punch.

If you want to connect speakers or headphones, you can do so via USB-C or Bluetooth. In our tests, the connection went smoothly. For wireless audio transmission, a solid range of codecs is available: SBC, AAC, aptX and aptX HD, LDAC, LC3 and Opus.

The Motorola Moto G35 is equipped with a 5,000 mAh battery, which allowed it to achieve a battery life of 16 hours and 41 minutes in our Wi-Fi test. This is a very good figure for this price category and that means you won’t necessarily need to charge the phone every night. If the Moto phone requires you to grab the charging cable, it will charge at a maximum power of 18 watts. A suitable charger is not supplied with the phone. With our chargers, the device needed just over 2 hours for a full charge.
