Appearing in 2016, the third generation continues to enjoy success. Despite nearing the end of its life, it still represents Citroën’s best-selling model and accounts for no less than 30% of Chevron sales. It is simply strategic. Thus, since its debut, the current C3 has sold more than 1.1 million copies. No surprise then that it is one of the favorite models of the French, and has been for many years. It regularly ranks among the Top 3 city cars in France and even the Top 5 best-selling models in France. No doubt, Citroën has no right to fail.

And to attract as many customers, or even more, the French brand focuses above all on style. This is radically different from the current one and is characterized above all by the adoption of the new visual identity of the brand, initiated by the Olli concept. Thus, the very vertical and full grille regardless of the engine is struck in its center by the new Citroën logo. The signature has also been carefully designed since it is made up of three bars which mimic a hook, a shape that is also found for the rear lights.
Finally, as with many city cars, personalization plays an increasingly important role. Thus, this new C3 will be available with two-tone paintwork (black or white roof), but the chevron brand adds a small innovation with the possibility of choosing the color of the bars affixed to the rear quarter or front bumper. Three colors appear in the catalog: Ice White, Infrared or Lemon Yellow.
In terms of dimensions, the new C3 is growing, but it remains very close to its predecessor with a length of 4 m, or 2 cm more than the previous one. The main change in measurements concerns height, with an increase of almost 10 cm to now reach 1.57 m.

A transformed interior
Inside, it’s a real revolution with the disappearance of the instrumentation, now replaced by a head-up display as standard on the high finish. It can be combined with a 10.25-inch multimedia system. The entry-level versions will not have this, but will have a system similar to a hi-fi dock allowing you to connect your smartphone to the car and enjoy the telephone, radio, navigation or streaming thanks to to a dedicated application. The dashboard is very horizontal and relatively bare. We notice the reduced size of the steering wheel, which is a first on a Citroën. The climate controls remain physical, a good thing. The quality of the materials is convincing, notably with a lower part of the dashboard covered in fabric. There are plenty of storage spaces, which is becoming usual for Citroën, which is becoming usual for Citroën.
For the practical side, we note that the habitability progresses with an increase in all the rear dimensions. Status quo, however, for the loading volume with 310 liters, or 10 more than the current C3.
